The Yard Glider is a heavy duty drag mat that effortlessly handles grass, roots, dirt, sand, mud, snow, and ice, outperforming and outlasting tarps and most lawn carts. The Strongest “X” models are perfect for crossing over patches of rougher terrain like gravel, pavement or asphalt. Yard Glider® X8 is ideal for heavy commercial, farm, ranch or heavy duty residential cleanup and hauling. The standard size is 48″ wide x 92″ long. The X8 is shipped fully assembled, and includes an integrated pull bar with pre-installed eye bolts. We form the Yard Glider around the pull bar for really strong pulling. We never stick grommets in flat material (like the overseas copycats are doing.)

What is UHMW?
UHMW, or ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene, is a high-performance plastic material renowned for its exceptional strength, abrasion resistance, and low friction.
Terrain
The Strongest “X” models are perfect for crossing over patches of rougher terrain like gravel, pavement or asphalt. They are built for frequent heavy hauling over grass, roots, sand, dirt, mud, snow and ice. Not recommend for extended distance on gravel, pavement or asphalt.
Handles & Tie Downs
The YG8 has 6 integrated handles (3 per side). The handles double as anchor points for tie downs. The upgraded width 60″ version also has 6 handles (3 per side).

Yard Gliders ship fully assembled, just unroll, flatten and start hauling.

Stone Boat, Tarps, Car/Truck Hoods, Plywood, & Truck Bed Liners
Yard Glider is a modern day version of the stone boats farmers used to use. We just made them lighter, more flexible, easier to maneuver and capable of shipping via UPS instead of LTL Freight. As for tarps, they don’t last and they can’t handle the weight. Car/Truck hoods are heavy, sharp and unsightly to have hanging around after you use them. Plywood is heavy and gets waterlogged. Our favorite DIY option is the center section of a truck bed liner. The material is very similar to a Yard Glider.
Following Equipment Guidelines for Towing
Always follow manufacturer guidelines for the towing limitations of any machine you are using to pull a Yard Glider. Do not exceed manufacturer recommendations.
